For many years I, like many believers approached God, not as a kind, loving, heavenly Father. In my mind, He was a fierce, powerful, being – punishing those who dared cross Him. Pleasing Him was a difficult task that was impossible and scary. He answered my prayers when I was good. My life changed when I realized that God is for me more than He is against me. Furthermore, as I studied His word, I learned that I could claim many wonderful promises that are written there. My timidity disappeared as I saw that asking for His input is not begging, and that I am worthy. For example in Matthew 7:7 Jesus’ proclamation, “Ask and it shall be given unto you…” Really means continuing to ask, in essence, demand my desired results, my struggles to get prayers answered stopped. Demand is a command to my mind – not a disrespectful order or command to God. God wants us to expect, yes, even demand that circumstances align in order for our miracles to appear! A large portion of our day to day accomplishments is already an uncanny result of miracles and divine blessings on our efforts. The astonishing thing about life is that God is willing and able to give us more — BIG or small --and He will never change! We often fluctuate and equivocate about the smartest course of action to take; but God’s way is always perfect. As it is written in the Epistle of James, there is no variableness neither shadow of turning in Him (James 1: 17, King James Version). 8 MIRACLES ON DEMAND 9 Sadie M. Mitchell Whenever we embark upon a new endeavor, regardless of the effort we exert, we can rely on God’s willingness and ability to never dwindle. Ultimately our confidence and believing determine the outcome; but God is always ready and willing to help us receive positive results. The results also depend upon where the greatest amount of mental visualization or imagination is being focused. These influences comprise the law of believing. The law of believing is one of the most powerful laws in the universe. God set it up for us to win by controlling it. We can consciously build our believing to demand the life we want! I was amazed at how much material I found once I decided to write this book. Talk about counting your blessings! You see miracles everywhere when you start looking for them. The Psalmist who wrote “Blessed be God who daily loadeth us with blessings,” (Psalms 68:19), was talking about each of our lives. The more we recognize and glorify God for His tremendous gifts, the more He opens the windows of heaven and pours out blessings for us. As written in II Corinthians 9: 10-12: 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness Not only does God give the seed to us in the first place; He is the one who multiplies fruit back to us as we give. God’s word is precise and perfect. Pay close attention and note that it says, God will multiply - not add, and certainly not subtract. Everything in this verse establishes that we receive more as we give. Even if it seems that you have less stuff left after you give, this word of God guarantees that you have more in the end—lots more! MIRACLES ON DEMAND 9 Sadie M. Mitchell 9 11 Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; Notice the many positive references to accumulation and plenty in these verses - enriched, everything, all, bountifulness, in verse 11; in verse 12 we see supplieth, abundant, and many. God’s provisions for us are all more than enough. He wants us to have it all. We simply need to demand our blessings!
